An elegant opal and crystal bead necklace.

This beautiful necklace has a series graduated opal beads each with a facetted crystal 'rondel' set between in typically late Edwardian/Art Deco design.

The beads are fastened with a tonneau shaped white gold clasp. The clasp has a small diamond to the centre and a hook style catch keeping it secure and acting as a safety catch when worn.

The opals have a good play of colour and are well matched.

Era: Art Deco, 1920 - 1940

Measurements: Necklace 48 cm in length,

largest opal bead 6mm diameter, smallest 3.8mm diameter.

Clasp 17mm in length

Hallmarks: Clasp stamped 9CT
