Edwardian Opal and Ruby Ring c.1905
An unusual Edwardian opal and ruby ring.
The ring has a central oval cabochon opal to the centre with 3 small rubies set to each side. The gemstones are finely mounted in yellow gold within a coronet mount.
The has 'split' tapered shoulders onto a plain shank typical of the era.
The opal has a good play of fire which is complemented by the soft red of the rubies. The setting is open to the reverse and the ring is low set to the hand.
Era: Edwardian, c.1901 - 1920
