Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring c.1930
An unusual Art Deco sapphire & diamond cluster ring.
This beautiful ring has an oval sapphire to the centre within a border of small diamonds forming a cluster. This central cluster is mounted within an outer diamond set stylised swag border.
The diamonds are all finely milgrain set with an openwork geometric underbezel. The ring has diamond set shoulders onto a plain platinum shank and is very low set to the hand.
This ring would have been designed to be worn originally as a cocktail ring. The sapphire is a beautiful colour - probably Sri Lankan in origin.
