An elegant pair of Art Deco sapphire & diamond drop earrings.
These beautiful earrings have a pear shaped sapphire suspended from a sapphire top with fine articulated diamond set knife edge bars.
The sapphires are a beautiful soft blue in colour and are assessed as natural Sri Lankan in origin.
The earrings are beautifully made with fine platinum milgrain setting with a gold reverse typical of the 1920's.
They have post and butterfly fittings for pierced ears and move freely when worn.
Era: Art Deco 1925-1940
Measurements: Total sapphire weight estimated 3.5 carats (pair); Pear shaped sapphires 1.5 carats each (natural unheated)
Total diamond weight estimated 0.50 carats (pair).
