Edwardian Amethyst & Pearl Brooch c.1908
A vibrant an stylish Edwardian brooch set with 3 fabulous amethysts finely claw set within a marquise shaped design. The brooch has a fine white enamel border which is set with a border of seed pearls and iridesent green enamelled beads.
The enamel is a beautiful white and pale green overlaid onto the gold of the brooch. These are the colours of the Suffragette movement and were also believed to be the favourite colours of Queen Alexandria and as such were very popular during the Edwardian era.
This wonderful brooch is in excellent condition and is engraved "EF 1908" to the reverse, It has a sprung pin fitting to the reverse typical of the Edwardian era.
