A fabulous Edwardian diamond name brooch
 
The beautifully made brooch spells "Buff" in an itallic script. It is set with old cut diamonds and  is fronted in platinum and backed in gold, typical of the era and has a sprung pin to the reverse.
 
The brooch has a hinged handmade gold safety catch keeping it secure when worn.
 
Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920
Measurements:  Total diamond weight estimated 1.0 carats.
Brooch is 5.6 cm (2 1/4 inches) in length, 2.4cm (7/8 inch) at widest point,
it weighs 8.5 grams
Hallmarks: Unmarked, tests as platinum and gold
