Edwardian Diamond Drop Earrings c.1910
An unusual pair of Edwardian diamond drop earrings.
These elegant earrings have rose diamond set curved 'sleeper' design fittings which are hinged at the back for pierced ears. The fittings suspend an articulated drop with each section set with rose cut diamonds.
The lower section is a large 'tear' shape, designed around a central old cut diamond (estimated 0.15 carats) in a star motif with rose cut diamond detailing. The earrings have a beautiful milgrain finish.
Typical of the early 20th Century design the earrings are silver fronted and gold to the reverse. They are finely made and fully articulated, moving beautifully when worn.
These lovely earrings are in wonderful condition and are probably European in origin.
