Edwardian Opal Ring c.1910
An elegant Edwardian opal ring.
This stylish ring has an unusual cut cornered cabochon opal in a fine 4 double claw mount. The ring has beautiful tapered platinum faced shoulders each set with 2 small diamonds within a milgrain setting. The shoulders flow onto a plain gold shank. The ring is low set to the hand typical of the era.
The opal has a good play of fire. The setting is open to the reverse allowing the full beauty of the opal to be displayed.
