Edwardian Ruby and Diamond 2 Stone Ring circa 1910
An elegant Edwardian ruby and diamond 2 stone twist ring.
This lovely ring has a bright rich red ruby and an old cut diamond in a beautiful handmade yellow gold mount.
The diamond is mounted in platinum and the ruby in yellow gold. Both are claw set in coronet mounts and the ring has diamond set shoulders, open to the reverse. The gemstones are set on a twist and the shoulders flow onto a reeded shank. The ring may well be French in origin due to the design and finesse.
This elegant ring is really low set to the finger typical of the era. It would make a beautiful engagement ring.
