Flying Duck Essex Crystal Cufflinks c.1955
An unusual pair of flying duck rock crystal cufflinks.
This quirky pair of cufflinks have a hand painted flying mallard on each link.
The rock crystal has been hand carved and hand painted with the flying bird designs and a thin piece of Mother of Pearl placed behind the crystal to make the design stand out. This technique is known as a “reverse intaglio.” The technique is also sometimes referred to as an 'Essex crystal.'
The rock crystal is mounted in gold and the cufflinks have square bar link fittings.
