Antique Flat Cut Garnet Earrings c.1900
A fabulous pair of Antique flat cut garnet earrings.
These beautiful earrings are an elegant design with a series of flat-cut almandine garnets set into an open panel.
Each garnet is foiled to the reverse in a closed 'cut down' setting. The panel is suspended from a garnet set top fixed to a long shepherds hook. The hook fittings for pierced ears are typical of the age.
The earrings move beautifully when worn and are in wonderful condition.
These stylish earrings may originally have been part of a much larger set of jewellery, they are assumed to be English in origin and date from c.1900.
