Georgian Ruby & Pearl Ring c.1820
An elegant Georgian ruby and pearl ring.
This beautiful ring has a central ruby in a cut down setting surrounded with 6 seed pearls and a rope twist design border. The ring has intricate detailing with floral shoulders and a wonderful reeded shank it is in beautiful condition.
The ring would have originally had a locket back to the reverse of the head which has sadly long gone, it is a larger shank size and may have been worn over a glove originally.
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this wonderful condition are increasingly hard to find.
