A stylish mid century ruby and diamond tablet ring.  
 
This elegant ring has an emerald cut pale yellow diamond to the centre in a closed back setting within a border of small diamonds and sqare cut rubies in a stylised open cluster design. 
 
The central diamond and rubies are all rub over set with a silver milgrain edge and the gemstones are all set in platinum onto a yellow gold back with a yellow gold plain shank typical of the era.
 
This unusual ring is really low set to the finger and would have been designed to wear on its own as a statement 'cocktail' ring.
