A large Victorian rose diamond set gold locket.

This fabulous oval locket has applied wirework decoration to the front and is set with rose cut diamonds to the centre section. It is a rich warm yellow gold in colour.

The locket is hinged and opens to reveal the two original frame compartments designed to hold a photograph.

The locket is large for the era and in wonderful condition. The gold has its original matt gilt finish. The locket has a large tapered hinged bail to allow a chain, ribbon or albert to pass through.

Era: Victorian, 1837 - 1901

Measurements: Pendant 5.8cm (2.8") wide, 3.5cm (1.3")in width.

17.6 grams in weight.

Total diamond weight 0.30 carats

Bail 1.2cm long.
