Victorian Pearl Flower Ring c.1860
A very pretty mid Victorian pearl and diamond ring.
This lovely ring has 6 pearls arranged in a cluster design around a small central diamond in a cut down setting.
The flower design is mounted within a circular stepped head which has blue enamel detailing. The ring has a locket back behind the head and the flower and colouring would suggest that the ring is meant to symbolise forget me not.
The ring has a fine 'split' shoulder design onto a plain gold shank. It is low set to the hand
The pearls are untested but are assumed to be natural. There is some slight abraision to part of the enamel consistent with age and wear but this does not spoil the beauty of the ring.
As the ring is over 160 years old and its construction with pearls and enamel is not really recommended for 'heavy' wear.
