Victorian Ruby & Diamond Wishbone Brooch c.1900
An unusual Victorian Wishbone brooch.
This lovely novelty brooch designed as a wishbone is finely set with rose-cut diamonds and small rubies within a rubover setting. The wishbone would have been given as a lucky symbol in an era when novelty jewellery was very popular.
The brooch is beautifully made in 15 carat gold and has a metal pin to the reverse.
